TOTE WIN £4.20 PL £1.90, £2.40, £2.00, £6.70; Ex £27.30; CSF £43.02 ANALYSIS: There was plenty to like about the way bumper winner CELESTIAL WAVE went about her task here on her first outing over hurdles. A fine big mare with a long stride, she made all the running and although she was a bit untidy at a few hurdles, most notably the seventh, she ran out a comfortable winner. Trainer Adrian Maguire is eyeing the Listed Bewleys Hotel Dublin Mares Hurdle at Leopardstown on December 29 as the next target for the winner. Rathvin Raven, who showed improvement when third over the same course and trip last month, again performed creditably, staying best of the rest for second place without troubling the winner. She should be capable of handicap success. Theatre Diva had sound claims on form, admittedly over shorter distances. She looked a possible threat to the winner when going second before the straight, but she came under pressure levelling up for two out and had no more to give. Rosie Belle raced in second place until between three out and two out and could only plug on at the onepace. She might have possibilities in long distance handicaps. Cloone Leader, runner-up over the trip at Wexford just over a year ago, showed some improvement from her first run of the year at Naas last month. She went fifth three out but was unable to make much impression thereafter. Leamybe was reported to be "clinically abnormal" following a veterinary examination after the race. Got A Few Bob Back was getting reminders in mid division four out and made no impression. |
