The previoulsy unbeaten filly was only beaten half a length by Group 1 winning two year old Sky Lantern. This run proved Just The Judge is a top class filly by a top class stallion and sets her up for an exciting campaign this year.

Lot 78 by Lawman ex Traou mad topped the Breeze up sales today selling to Blandford Bloodstock for £210,000.

Lawmans 3yo daughter Lady Wingshot (ex Nassma) wins her third stakes race of 2012 in the Ballylinch colours by taking the Listed Knockaire Stakes over 7f at Leopardstown for trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Ronan Whelan. Lady Wingshot had previously won the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes and Listed Corrib Stakes this season.
The Ballylinch bred Lawman colt Us Law (ex Dookus, by Linamix) runs 3rd in the Group 1 Criterium International at Saint-Cloud following up on his Group 3 win in October.

Her dam Faraday Light was bred by Ballylinch and is a half sister to Group 3 winner High Heeled.
Another Group winner for Lawman as the three year old filly Forces of Darkness wins the Group 3 Prix Minerve over 2500m at Deauville. Forces of Darkness was bred by Keatly Overseas Ltd. and is out of the Listed winning and Group placed daughter of Dr Fong, Miss Childrey. She is another Ballylinch Stud consigned sales graduate.
A good day for Ballylinch and our stallion Lawman as his first crop daughter Lady Wingshot wins the Arthur Guinness EBF Corrib Fillies S., Listed over 7f in Galway in the Ballylinch colours for trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning. This was a first Stakes win for Lady Wingshot who had previously finished second in the Listed Flame of Tara Stakes and fourth in the Group 3 C L Weld Park Stakes as a two year old. Lawman also had a two year old winner when Law Enforcement won the EBF Maiden over 7f at Epsom on his second start for trainer Richard Hannon.

Just The Judge was bred by Mrs Joan Dempsey who purchased her dam from Ballylinch Stud at Goffs November Sale in 2007. Just The Judge is the second winner out of Faraday Light (a half-sister to Ballylinch Bred Group 3 winner High Heeled), following in the footsteps of her full sister Amber Silk, and is highly regarded by her trainer as she holds an entry in the Group 1 Moyglare Stakes later on in the season.
Ballylinch Stud's Lawman sired his first Gr1 winner when Most Improved won the St James Palace Stakes over a mile at Royal Ascot. Trained by Brian Meehan, and ridden by Kieren Fallon for owner Iraj Parvizi. Most Improved was bred by Skymarc Farm and Ecurie des Monceaux, who sold him to Angie Sykes Bloodstock at the Arqana August Yearlings Sale in 2010 for €65,000.

First Winner for Lawman
Lawman had his first winner today when Seven Year Itch was the two and a half length winner of the xtremeadventures.com Claiming Stakes over 5f at Catterick. The filly was trained by David Evans for owner Mrs E Evans, ridden by Royston Ffrench and bred by Michael Phelan and the Lawman Syndicate.
Lawman's first crop foals proved a hit at the sales with a colt ex Indian Express, consigned by Ballylinch Stud realising €130,000 to Kennycourt Stud at the Goffs foal sale, a colt ex French Fern realising 95,000gns and a colt ex Lady Livius, consigned and bred by Ballylinch Stud, realising 92,000gns to Glenvale Stud at the Newmarket foal sale.
